Many, many years ago when meteors were ubiquitous, slamming all over Earth, It gave me a thought. A crazy thought maybe, but what if all those meteorites that slammed in to Earth eventually brought Earth to life, in which she feels and grows? This could of been the start of the mythological period in its self. The interesting thing is, over 10 trillion kilogrammes of space dusted meteorites, that slammed into Earth, bringing life to many generations of dinosaurs and eventually ape like men. To then, eventually freezing over to reset. I'm hoping to find more of a link from this period to the period we are in now.
Obviously evolution links us all too, but clearly there was more to the earth at these times and missed nowadays. We will never really know what was true and what was imagination either. Unfortunately any life before human could not write, obviously hasn't been written. All we have is word of mouth. Obviously with word of mouth it becomes an unreliable source for information, the game called Chinese whispers or telephone in the United States comes into play. People adding tiny extras which alter a true story dramatically.
I found a really well put together story, which I have a link to on the links page. There are no Gods or names mentioned in this story, but it does help link some of my puzzle pieces up. In this story Peruvian Creation Myth–First Story Ever Told, please give credit to Jaggg and Don Antonio. The sun shed a tear on Earth, this was Earth's first source of fire.
In Greek mythology Prometheus stole fire from Heaven and gave it to the humans, this was Earth's first fire.
Now in Peruvian Story the Sun could of had a name, that name maybe being Chaos. Nyx being the night sky, Erebus is the shadow and deep darkness. Aether is the personification of the upper air, Hemera the goddess of the day, the Earth Gaia and the moon Selene.
Now obviously we don't know fact of when these names came into use, or even how long they were known by these names. As writing was not taught or given to anything or anyone.
Until pieces were discovered by Archaeologists. One piece I found online was the Dispilio Tablet. This tablet is now known as the first piece of writing on Earth. It dates back to 5260BC. Unfortunately the tablet has not been decoded or read, and some damage occurred once it was lifted out the lake. In a Neolithic lake settlement in Northern Greece near the city of Kastoria.
With the Sun being in love with Earth, the Sun being Chaos, birthed many children from her ocean womb. The first children of Chaos and Gaia would of been the Stone people. Literally Stones they would move very slow. Sentences would take them a year to pronounce (remember Chinese whispers, it may of taken a week, month or even just an hour. We will never know for sure). They were born from all over Gaia including from the ocean. When other children were born the stone men watched and so did Chaos. Causing Chaos to shed a tear of joy. This tear left heat, fire and light, that the Stone Men made a circle round to contain it's magical source.
All those meteors smashing to the earth had a reaction that started the growth of Gaia, Maybe the tears from the sun where meteorites, and from those meteorites fire and lava was created, and volcanos where born. the Stone men mentioned, in the first story ever told, tried to keep a circle around tears to contain the heat, light and magic. But I believe as Gaia is round the pressure from the stone men, caused a permanent blister on another parts of the earth. This permanent blister being a Volcano. The Stone Men did know they needed to move the ever growing fire. Their long debate, decided that the center Earth, where their great cavern is, place of their origins. Unfortunately the Stone Men couldn't contain the fire and it spread in four different directions filling up all the crevices.
Maybe Gaia (Earth) felt that Earth needed an evolutionary change and managed to birth Uranus. We don't have an exact true date of when Uranus walked upon Earth. We will probably never find evidence of any of the beings or actual birth dates. I do love the idea that in Greek mythology everything has a name and a purpose, this is why I mostly, if not always refer to Greek mythological times.
So to wrap thing up, Gaia and Chaos created many wonders on Earth, like Dinosaurs huge insects crazy trees and all sorts. Earth moved on with Uranus, then with Uranus many, many other mythological children and creatures (being Gaia's children) where born. These awesome creations eventually leading to us. This makes us many 10000's of Greats would go before, Grandchildren, grandchildren of Gaia's. It does make me wonder if any other planets have life forms are out here, and would that make Aliens our estranged relations? But that's a question for another time.
